Angel and Darla have history in Budapest (They did a lot of damage and sexy time during/after an earthquake) At some point Darla says to Angel “Remember Budapest? turn of the century?”
And considering the whole soul thing I’d say that yup, Angel remembers Budapest very differently to Darla.

I am about midway through the first season. Mostly watching this because I have always liked what little I know about Willow’s character. I’ve seen more Angel than I have Buffy. Buffy is on a date with Owen right now. Buffy is not allowed to have nice things.
I like everyone so far, well save the evil Vampires. I think Cordelia is hilarious, and poor Xander has so much growing to do. He needs to see women as women, not at sex objects, but he can, I can see it in his character. (being a teen is hard) And I love, LOVE Giles. Like my heart for him. Like I am dying.
Ugh, Giles is just the greatest right? Like why can we not all have a Giles in our life seriously. They all grow a lot, so much growing, and sometimes not always for the best but you still love them and just think ‘no bb you just gotta get back on the right path it’s ok shh let me hold you’. I can’t remember what happens specifically in each season it’s all kinda blurred together for me and I don’t want to spoil. Maybe I should watch them all again myself hmm.
